Creve Coeur Animal Hospital is looking for someone to help us provide the very best care for our patients by providing overnight nursing care. We are a busy 5 doctor practice in West County Saint Louis that treats dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and reptiles.
We are an AAHA-accredited practice, so we have a very high standard for our patients as well as our employees. But because of this, we are the best in St. Louis! Team harmony and our core values matter just as much to us as helping pets.
About You
We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of veterinary technician experience. Certification is valued and would result in better compensation.
We need someone who can work effectively with people (not just pets). Someone who has confidence and charisma that can help clients through all types of situations. A self-starter, that can be comfortable completing tasks without direct supervision.
You will be able to place IV catheters, draw blood, give injections, provide animal care with safe and humane handling, perform laboratory tests, take x-rays, and follow treatment plans prescribed to our hospital patients. Surgical experience is a plus.
You must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time. You will be the type of person who is on time (or early) and can help cover shifts when a team member is sick or on vacation. Hard work will be important, but so are breaks, lunches, and days off.
The Role
We need a full-time overnight veterinary technician to work three 12-hour shifts on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (2 pm to 2 am) as well as every other Saturday and some holidays.
You’ll be assisting in appointments, caring for our hospital and boarding patients, cleaning and preparing surgical packs, stocking exam rooms, and performing other miscellaneous maintenance tasks throughout the night when not caring for patients and pets.
